This gallery show photos of my layout called Westcombe.Westcombe Mainline is a fictional Terminus based in the Central London area served by Chiltern , Virgin Westcoast, Virgin crosscountry, ONE/ Anglia, East Midland Trains/ Midland Mainline and arriva. Freight services do apper and use the exchange sidding just to the side of the station where locos can change for other diesel /electric locos or even bypass the station and take the freight only branch line to other lines in the area.
The layout features Overhead catenary ( yeah it was a major challenge with it been N gauge and involved many swear words and burnt fingers!!!!!) but well worth the effort and money. The single posts are from the excellant Sommerfeldt range and the gantries are a mix of the now defunct STATESMANN range and the N BRASS range .
Locos featured are as follows class 08, 20, 31, 33,37, 40, 43,44,47' in many of the past and pressent liveries,class 50,52,55,56,57,58,59,60,66's in most if not all of the current liveries, class 67,73,86,87,90's in all of the liveries carried, and class 92 .
The only downside to using this scale is no one as of yet has produced a EMU in n gauge.
