Virgin Trains are the main operator currently runnings service along the WCML . But not that long ago it was running both the WCML and the Crosscountry franchiseusing many classes of both Electric and Diesel classes .Ranging from class 08 Shunters ,HST sets and class 47's and Electric classes 86,87 and class 90's running with MK2 and MK3 sets with DVTs but only to be re-placed by modern "Voyagers" and "Pendolino" style trains.
